Plan With Me for the Week of June 29 - August 4, 2019
I love discbound planners. I have a Staples Arc Notebook at work, but I at home, I want a bit more fun. I have a Happy Planner.

I love discbound planners because of how customizable they are. You can change them with your mood. I saw someone who had the same planner as me take the metal rainbow discs from the Target exclusive student planner and use those instead of the pink ones it comes with. The only limits to customization are your imagination. I have so much fun playing with my planner, so I wanted to take you through setting up my planner for the week.
I am a functional planner first and foremost, but trust me - we're still going to have fun with stickers. The first thing I'm going to do before I do anything else is think about what I know is going to go onto my planner for the week. I'm only going to show you the before the pen today because I want to save my after the pens for Instagram, but I'm still going to through the events I thought of this week before I even opened the planner. On Wednesdays, I watch a weekly Twitch stream. My brother's week is Thursday of this week. I do laundry on Sundays. I'm moving on August 10, so I want to focus on packing and cleaning this week, and I'm going out on Friday night.

Now that I know everything I want to put onto my week, I am going to find stickers. The page already has a lot of pink and yellow, so I think I want to focus on rainbow and pink and yellow stickers. I also have a really cute idea for marking off my brother's birthday, as he is a baseball fan. He does have a favorite team, but he's just all about the sport in general.
I have literally a million stickers... okay, maybe not a million, but I do have like 25 sticker books. I narrowed them down to 7.

I picked a pink "Noted" sticker that looked like notebook paper. It was perfect, until I put it down crooked like six times, but I decided that I was going to live with it. It's not the end of the world.
So, then I decided to work on my brother's birthday. I took two baseballs from the sports stickers and placed them in a way that I would be able to get a box between them later. Sidebar, I have a sports pack of stickers and I participate in no sports. I used a "football game" sticker to mark when the Super Bowl was in February. I'm just extra.
I used the colorful boxes pack of stickers next. I used a pink box between the baseballs on my brother's birthday, and then I used gold boxes for the first half of the week. I like to front load my busy so I can have a relaxing weekend as much as possible, so I tend to use boxes for the first half of the week and have a lot more fun with the back half of the week.
I used the rainbow pack to add more pinks to the page. I used "Today's Plans," "Don't Forget," "it's the weekend!," and "Adulting is Hard" stickers from the pink pages. Then I went to sassy plans and goald star quotes to find some fun quote stickers to place pretty much everywhere, and planner basics for a yellow scale because I'm tracking my weight, and a laundry basket for laundry day. I also got a yellow to do list from the planner basics sticker pack. I have a mint get it done sticker placed that I literally forgot what book it came from.
And this is the final product:
This is actually a lot more stickers than I normally use in my layouts, but I was really feeling it today. I think because I have not used any of the sassy plans stickers before, and I was really excited to. My favorite for this spread is the one that says "Patience: What you have when there are too many witnesses," because it reminded me so much of my positivity journal mantra of last week that it made me smile just looking at it. I'm also really proud of how I'm marking off my brother's birthday in my planner this week, because it's so personalized to him.
What about you guys? How do you keep track of your plans? If you have a planner, what kind do you use and why? Have you ever decorated a planner or ever considered it? Sidebar, I am absolutely obsessed with Heather Kell's YouTube channel right now, so if you are interested in learning how to decorate your planner, especially if you have a Happy Planner. And remember to check out the Torpid Unicorn Instagram to see what this spread looks like after the pen.
