Plan With Me for the Week of June 29 - August 4, 2019

I love discbound planners. I have a Staples Arc Notebook at work, but I at home, I want a bit more fun. I have a Happy Planner. My current planner. My current planner is an 18 month July 2019-December 2020 unicorn "One of a Kind" planner. It has a vertical layout, and it came with pink plastic classic discs. I knew the classic discs wouldn't be enough space for everything I like to add to my planner, so I swapped them out for metal rose gold expander discs. I love discbound planners because of how customizable they are. You can change them with your mood. I saw someone who had the same planner as me take the metal rainbow discs from the Target exclusive student planner and use those instead of the pink ones it comes with. The only limits to customization are your imagination. I have so much fun playing with my planner, so I wanted to take you through setting up my planner for the week. I have been watching YouTube since Smosh's Mortal Kombat video way back in 2005. The takeaways here is that I'm old, and that I have watched YouTube grow up from its baby days. I've seen it adapt and change and I'm always looking for the next new thing. I was watching Smosh since before their Pokemon video. I want to be ahead of the trends. So, I decided that I would look at the Trending Tab and Randomly Inspired to see if I could find something fun. At first, I wasn't super into the idea of using the Trending Tab, since these would be videos that were already trending. In fact, when I opened the tab, I h...

People who haven't known me since childhood are often surprised by the fact I'm an optimist. I don't think I'm a negative person, but for some reason, some people do not perceive the positivity I try to put out into the world. Then, recently, I was watching Heather Kell unbox the items she was sent for The Happy Planner July Launch, and part of the release were Happy Notes Guided Journals, and this intrigued me. Here is the video if you'd like to check that out for yourself: Anyway, this video, combined with a week of work that made me question my own optimism, made me decide that I wanted to give this whole positivity journaling thing a chance. I chose the super cute Radiate Positivity journal. First step in being a more positive me. The first step was to decide my mantra for the week. It was originally going to be "don't murder anyone," but I decided that had negative undertones. I want to be positive. I changed it to "respect peop...
